Foz of Iguazú, a charming view

These majestic falls of water belong to Brazil and Argentina, these countries are located in the area of Iguazú. The tourists arrive during the whole year to be perplexed for the waterfalls, the well preserved reservation of flora and fauna; and the beauty of their natural escene.



The Iguazú river is one of the biggest tributaries in the "Paraná", it borns in the "Serra do Mar" (Brazil), near of the "Curitiba" city. In October of 1993 was inaugurated the "Mirador Bridge" in the "National Park of Iguazú", from this place the tourists can see a wonderful show: They are 136 extension meters and two miradors, for comfort and the visitor's good location.










History
The waterfalls were discovered by Alvar Núñez "Cabeza de Vaca" (Cow Head) in 1541. He baptized them "Waterfalls of Santa María", but prevailed the indigenous name "Iguazú", that means in Guarani "Big Water". A legend of this place counts that, many centuries before the Spanish conquest, in the thick forests of the región, lived a young girl call "Naipur." All were charmed by their sympathy and beauty.



For their fortune, the warrior "Caroba" got their love, but a god of the forest, evil and jealous, threatened him to destroy everything if he didn't leave their lover. Then Caroba took she out of the village, navigating the waters of the Iguazú river. The god shivered with fury the nature and created a cliff in a part of the river and the waters became enormous waterfalls. Naipur crawled by the torrent, became a rock in the end of the waterfalls and the god transformed the warrior into tree and planted him in the bank of the abyss, so that he could see its lover, immobile forever, in the end of the waters.

In the diverse tourist programs that offer from any destination in the world, the waterfalls of Iguazú capture tourists, (natural life lovers), they are 275 spectacular falls that, besides the recreational image, offer a very beautiful and pleasant sound. The flora and fauna are also great, the vegetation surrounds the waterfalls in semicircle, the waters sometimes produce double jumps.

2. to avoid eat fruits without peeling



3. people non accustomed to consume alcoholic drinks, they should avoid the wines especially, at least in the first days.



4. for the ladies, it is advisable to take big wallets, so that can fit the passport, the wallet, the cosmetics, etc.



5. it is recommended that the suitcase that you go in the airplane is light, with the name, address, telephone and country.



6. it is also opportune to write the name of the hotel where you stay, address and telephone. In case you get lost, any person will be able to help you to locate it



7. Is forbidden to the Colombian tourists, to bring vegetable material, because the laws don't allow it.
